Hi

When someone views a site does the stats see the customer has closed the broswer or gone off the site?

Also can we send a custom variable to the stats, like a phone contact number into the stats package as a phone call.

What I want to achieve is, can we receive a contact phone number when the user files in a form field, and then tell when the user has left the site.

Then we can check the stats to see who has left and call them back…

There’s nothing if the user closes the browser or tab. Outlinks can be tracked. (See API.)

Yes, you can send custom data. No, Piwik doesn’t (currently) store the custom data. You’ll need to write a plugin. (We’ll have an example in/around 0.8.)
