Report by Custom Variable

Is it possible to get reports to a certain custom variable?

On my page, there’s a custom var with the username. Now I would like to know which user visited which page and so on.

This is the most promising api call I made, but its result is empty

http://localhost/piwik/index.php?module=API&method=Actions.getPageUrls&idSite=1&period=day&date=today&format=php&token_auth=7917f2596f8bb70c954893f200ba6274&prettyDisplay=1&expanded=1&segment=customVariableName1==userId;customVariableValue1==100CA25

Thanks for your help

Hi loosli,

Have you already resolved this? i also want this kind of report.

Thank you.

I don’t think so. but if there is any option then please let me know.

Sure it is possible :slight_smile: for this you want to create a Custom Segment (see: http://piwik.org/docs/segmentation/ )

It looks like your segment should work. Can you try in the “Visitor Log” to see if there is any visitor matching your request? (Select “Year” maybe to increase the log)

Good news: we have now released the Custom Reports feature for Piwik!

Custom reports lets you choose which dimensions and metrics you want to see. You can combine multiple dimensions (up to 3) and as many metrics as you need.
The custom reports can be emailed to your partners or customers, and have their own menu entry in the Piwik report list. You can even setup advanced filters to further customise the reports.
