Questions about log-analyticsand Web Services

I’m interested in using Piwik to monitor my Web Services that are used only internally to my company. I’ve setup the cron to parse my apache logs automatically, but the information is sort of dis joint because the URLs that are recorded are not full page views.

Can we get more support for Web Service, SOAP type calls ? Were do I start developing new widgets ?

Also the log-analytics help document talks about " extended log format". Can the documentation be updated to describe more on how to actually do this?

Does the --hostname flag allow Piwik differentiate the logs from the various servers in our cluster though they are using the same --idsite ?
