Piwik 2.16.5 Page overlay report does not load LinkTags

We use jQuery 3.x in the website and we get the following JS error message in the Page overlay report while “Loading following pages”:
Uncaught TypeError: linkTag.children(…).size is not a function (followingpages.js:320)
