Piwik 1.8.3 Problems with log analytics after update

Hallo,
I just updated to Piwik 1.8.3 and now the import_logs.ps script throws this error:
Fatal error: No entry is registered for key 'config’
You can restart the import of “logfile.gz” from the point it failed by specifying --skip=73 on the command line.

It seems this error is comes from line 1040 where the script gets a response (str: {“succeeded”:0,“error”:“No entry is registered for key ‘config’”}) that it doesn’t like. But I don’t know the reason for this reasponse.

Is your piwik working normally?

is your config/config.ini.php look correct?

yes, running great and looking just normal.

I’ve got a serious issue after updating as well. I did the manual update procedure as usual but now no data or widgets or anything will display. See attached. The visit numbers show on the All Websites page and when I go to Settings it still has all my settings saved and under Websites it still has all the websites. But I can’t view any data on any of them…

Do you have a backtrace anywhere?
Any entries in the error logs?

I just got this error message from the import-logs.py:
Fatal error: GIF89a!ù,D;{“succeeded”:166}
and the usual “you can start from line xy”

can someone tell me what this means?
