Pecl-geoip with PHP7.1 on FreeBSD

Hello,

I am running Piwik using FreeBSD/Apache/PHP71.
I would like to install pecl-geoip, however I noticed that it is dependent on PHP56.
Since I do not want to downgrade to PHP56 just for the pecl-geoip, is there any way to install pecl-geoip using PHP71?

Hi,

I don’t know about FreeBSD, but at least in Debian the php-geoip-package installs the module for PHP7 and the inofficial package I am using also works with PHP 7.1 and PHP 7.2.
So it isn’t an direct issue with the geoip module.
