After some time I have installed Piwik once again to try.
Testing the loading-speed of the web-page shows a delay on loading Piwik.
Where the page itself loads in under 2.5 sec, with Piwik loading as last one it takes almost 10 sec.
That is not so nice to say the least.

I did read several articles about regression in the page loading time but can not find a usable advice.

Somebody any ideas?

Maybe disable the Provider plugin, this would help? the piwik.php should load in less than 500ms on average.

Thank you Matt,
I’ve disabeled several plugins, of which the Provider.
Now the loading is much better; within 1sec indeed.

Problem seems to be solved
