OT: Error with email in new forum profile:S

Hi,

While trying to create a new profile, I entered an email address with a pattern like this: xx@xxxx-xxxxxx.org (all 'x’s are letters) and it was refused.
Error in your validation?

adding a user with email xx@xxxx-xxxxxx.org works for me
