Older visitor logs contain no data

Hi all,

Approximately two weeks ago I tried to access “Detailed Visitor Logs” for dates before March 2016, but it would just result in a message saying “There is no data for this report.” I know that Piwik was recording data before March and it was accessible earlier in May, but now it seems that it cannot be accessed.

This was all done using the browser version of Piwik.

Does anyone know why/how this happened? And if there are any workarounds?
