I’m testing Piwik on a couple of sites on our intranet and finding that it is not reporting visits from any client with an IP in the 10.0.0.0 address range. Is there something I’m supposed to switch on/off in Piwik to get it to capture those?
Actually it is. When the users turn off their ad-blockers (e.g., uBlock Origin)! You guys do have a note about that. Of course everyone uses ad-blockers nowadays, so that’s going to skew results. Maybe we’ll need to go back to AWStats or similar log analysis tools to get the real picture.
we do have a note in the FAQ: Piwik doesn't track any visits and pages, and shows "There is no data for this report" in all reports. - Analytics Platform - Piwik
we don’t recommend to use AWStats. it has several issues. Instead use Piwik with Log Analytics: Log Analytics - Analytics Platform - Piwik
Interesting DHCP & NAT question … have you tried to use another address range for DHCP? Is it only the ad blocker that causes this issue?
