New WordPress Install using WP-Piwik, doesn't Track

Installed Piwik yesterday, but it’s not tracking anything. Here are my particulars;

• WordPress site
• Hosted on a GS package in Media Temple
• using the WP-Piwik plugin, with mostly default Settings in the plugin

Would it be better to manually add the Tracking Code to the Footer file rather than use a plugin? Can someone point me in the right direction here? Anyone who’s ever had problems with a Piwik Install on WordPress, would love to hear from you.

Deleted WP-Piwik and put the Tracking Code from the Settings right iinto the Footer.php file for my Theme…still nothing.

Anyone??? Hello???
