Can Matomo be compatible with this?

it sounds nice cause for small business its quite cheap and convenient. For me the free databases aren’t enough and I really miss the exact ISP tracking of Google analytics. For me its important which companies visit my page.

While Matomo supports the paid maxmind databases, I don’t think their API is already supported.
But that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible. As the location provide is modul in Matomo one can write a plugin that provides it as a location service.
I’m just not sure if doing a lookup over the internet for every single visit won’t slow down everything too much.
Shure. Paid databases would mean 24 dollars minimum. I would accept a slower service… if you only have a few visits a day it’s nearly nothing you pay.
