I received a notification on Sat, 5 Dec 2020 00:06:19 +0000 that Matomo 4.0.4 was released, but it is missing from where the latest release is ‘Matomo 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 and 4.0.3’ from 26th November.

I see that there are 4.0.4 tarballs at but I’m not willing to upgrade without knowing what’s changed, can this be fixed? Thanks!

Thanks for the information. Regarding my last serious issues when updating Matomo, I will first wait and see what happens. If the number of support requests here in the forum or elsewhere is not so high, I will run the update. Well, if there is no higher version in the meantime. It also fixes device detector not working with brands that only have numbers in their name.

I second that. It would be great with a link to the changes in 4.0.5 at

I now received the usual e-mail alert, which says:

But the page doesn’t exist, and I get a

The page has been created, so thanks for that.

It still is missing on though.

That’s just caching, the page has already been updated, but it is still displaying the old version for a while.

Ah yes, I see it if I add a querystring to trigger WordPress to send me a fresh version:
