Matomo 4.0.4 missing on changelog https://matomo.org/changelog

I received a notification on Sat, 5 Dec 2020 00:06:19 +0000 that Matomo 4.0.4 was released, but it is missing from https://matomo.org/changelog where the latest release is ‘Matomo 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 and 4.0.3’ from 26th November.

I see that there are 4.0.4 tarballs at https://builds.matomo.org/ but I’m not willing to upgrade without knowing what’s changed, can this be fixed? Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the notice, I forwarded it to the team.

In the meantime you can find all changes made between 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 here: https://github.com/matomo-org/matomo/compare/4.0.3...4.0.4

So the changes should be

Thanks for the information. Regarding my last serious issues when updating Matomo, I will first wait and see what happens. If the number of support requests here in the forum or elsewhere is not so high, I will run the update. Well, if there is no higher version in the meantime. Time flies very fast, you know? :grinning:

Cheers
Henning

There is no hurry in updating, Matomo 3 is still supported for a year.

Yeah, and the message on https://matomo.org/changelog/matomo-4-0-4/ says “In these two releases we’re addressing a few bugs…”. But the page concerns 4 releases. It looks like the page has been half updated.
For people like us using Matomo 4.0.3, it is a problem not having any information about the changes.

Also current 4.0.5 is missing. It would really be helpful to know what has changed.

For 4.0.5 the quick summary (of https://github.com/matomo-org/matomo/compare/4.0.4...4.0.5) is that it fixes the issue many people had where they couldn’t login anymore.

And it also improves archiving a bit as some people had issues with it. And it updated the translations to the latest version.
It also fixes device detector not working with brands that only have numbers in their name.

I second that. It would be great with a link to the changes in 4.0.5 at https://matomo.org/changelog/

I now received the usual e-mail alert, which says:

View the changelog for this version:
https://matomo.org/changelog/matomo-4-0-5/

But the page doesn’t exist, and I get a

Oops, something went wrong…

See our other pages:

The page https://matomo.org/changelog/matomo-4-0-5/ has been created, so thanks for that.

It still is missing on https://matomo.org/changelog/ though.

Hi,

That’s just caching, the page has already been updated, but it is still displaying the old version for a while.

Ah yes, I see it if I add a querystring to trigger WordPress to send me a fresh version:
