I’ve a question about the top bar element used for switching the prefered language to use Piwik.
Is there any way to limit the number of options this form shows?

The list of available languages is controlled by the contents of the “lang” directory in your Piwik installation. Just delete the files corresponding to languages you don’t wish to make available.
Before deleting any of the language files, you should make sure that you have the right one. Open the file in question in any old text editor, and look near the top of the file. The top few lines of each file describe its contents in English.
Please remember that your changes are temporary. When you replace your Piwik installation with an update, your changes will be gone.
