Ip and fqdn tracking at the same time

Hello,

I have recently setup the piwik to track one site using its ip address - this was done during the dev phase. Now we went live and site has a FQDN now. Since we switch to the FQDN there are no statistics anymore - only when I access it by ip I can se some statistics.
I was wondering can we change this behavior without affecting the previous settings? Can we track bot the new FQDN address and the ip address access to this site?

Thanks,
Alex

Could it be something with a file corruption?

I dont understand the problem ?

Hi,

The main problem is that piwik stopped registering visits. I can see that the latest record ind visit log table was on April the 30th. After that - there is nothing in it.
We had the site under development and used an ip address to access it. When we went live we registered a domain with FQDN. At first I thought it was because of this that piwik stopped to register. Also, we had the js tracking code includeed in the of the index page with tags. I know it should be just before the .

Thanks,
Alex

With firefox/Firebug you can check if the piwik.php is sent. See here for more info: http://piwik.org/docs/tracking-api/reference/#toc-debugging-the-tracking-api-requests

Hi ,

I have enabeld the debugging. When I examine it in Chorome piwik.js reports error:Status:failed, sacred_piwik.js:14
Script. Tracker code:

var _paq = _paq || [];
_paq.push([“setDocumentTitle”, document.domain + “/” + document.title]);
_paq.push([“setCookieDomain”, “.sacred.fr.alcatel-lucent.com"]);
_paq.push([“setDomains”, ["
.172.27.102.102”]]);
_paq.push([“trackPageView”]);
_paq.push([“enableLinkTracking”]);

(function() {
var u=((“https:” == document.location.protocol) ? “https” : “http”) + “://172.27.102.102:6060/”;
_paq.push([“setTrackerUrl”, u+“piwik.php”]);
_paq.push([“setSiteId”, “1”]);
var d=document, g=d.createElement(“script”), s=d.getElementsByTagName(“script”)[0]; g.type=“text/javascript”;
g.defer=true; g.async=true; g.src=u+“piwik.js”; s.parentNode.insertBefore(g,s);
})();

Firebug shows error message:GET piwik.js Status: aborted

sacred_piwik.js is not correct, it should be piwik.js

sacred_piwik.js is where we keep the tracking code script. Also, I should mention that we access the site via https. I have configured the piwik access to use https also.

We didn’t put the code before the tag but include it in via sacred_piwik.js script.
