How to track an email sent to customers

Hi everyone,

I need your highlights about how to track some KPI of an email sent to customers.
When I said KPI, I meant :

  • reading number
  • tag event tracking (some redirection buttons for example)
  • saving all redirection links (out links)

Today I edit my emails in html format and I host them on my web server and use a smtp to send them to customers.

I need to know how can I monitor that in Matomo ?

This video could help as well, tracking userid within your email

though it is a bit intrusive, same technique to apply to track events.
