I have a dedicated server that I have hosted and managed for me. I have about 25 Wordpress based sites/blogs on the site and I plan to add about another 50 in the next 3 months. I’ve been trying to keep my sites loading quickly. One of the Plugins I normally install for Wordpress is called StatPress Reloaded. It is essentially a product like Piwik, only it is integrated in the backend of my site. What I am looking to do though is to NOT install this plugin to save resources and instead install Piwik and run all the sites through that for my stats. What kind of resources does Piwik take? Am I trading one resource hog for another? To me it makes sense to not install the same code 75 times and that would save resources, but I’d like to get other opinions.
