How Exclude Certain Directory

Greetings,
Can anyone tell me how can EXCLUDE a directory from matomo tracking it? For instance, I have a site being tracked: https://www.domain1.com But I do not want traffic located at https://www.domain1.com/subdirectory3/ to be part of my metrics?

Hi,

The easiest way is to modify the tracking code so that it does not call _paq.push(['trackPageView']); on an excluded site.

Thank you for this response. I’m not super technical, and your answer doesn’t make sense to me. Is there a help file, or a location where a larger answer or something more explainatory might guide us?
