Google Ads integration w / manual tagging

Hello,

My website has Google Ads advertising, and we currently use autotagging (gclid) to bring all relevant data we need from Google Analytics. Is this possible if we move the website to Matomo, i.e. is it possible to integrate Matomo and Google Ads so that there is no need for manual tagging.

If yes, can you kindly also point me to relevant technical documentation.

It depends on how Google autotagging is working.
Can you explain how it works? MTM can do some automatic tracking (eg. all links, etc.) but I am not sure it is full adapted to Google Ads…
