I set up wordpress and installed the piwik plugin. I cannot figure out the right settings. WP can’t communicate with my piwik installation. I have set up my auth token, which I got under the API link of my piwik site. And I have correctly typed the URL where piwik appears (http://mydomain.com/piwik). It’s definitely there because I’m looking at it. But I still get these errors:
An error occured: Piwik did not answer. Please check your entered Piwik URL.
An error occured: Please check URL and auth token. You need at least view access to one site.
This is really pissing me off. It’s been a couple weeks now and I can’t figure out what’s wrong. It would be easier to just do a new piwik install on every site and forget about the wp plugin, but at this point it’s a matter of me being stubborn and refusing to be defeated.
