GeoIP Broken Undefined Offset

I have the following error for GeoIP

/analytics/libs/MaxMindGeoIP/geoip.inc(1705): Undefined offset: -16776960

This is a clean install of Piwik so nothing has been added or altered from the basic defaults.

Also has this to the right of GeoIP (PHP)
Error: Your GeoIP database does not seem to have the correct format. It may be corrupt. Make sure you are using the binary version and try replacing it with another copy.

Does anyone have any ideas
