Geoip 2 Apache - "can only be used with normal browser tracking"

When you are selecting the GeoIP 2 (Apache) , there is a warning that says : “This provider is fast and accurate, but can only be used with normal browser tracking.”

What does it mean that “can only be used with normal browser tracking”?

Hi,

For everyone else the same answer:

If you are using Log Analytics or sending visitor data from the server via the API, you can’t use the Apache/nginx module as all the webserver sees is the servers IP-Adress.

If you use JS tracking, it doesn’t matter.
