Forgot password, mail() not available

Hi there,
I’m supporting a webmaster who installed Matomo on her site. She forgot her password and when trying to reset it, she gets an error message saying that mail() is not available. I assume that Matomo sends an email with instructions or a link to reset the PW. When creating the contact form it was necessary that the from email address was registered at the hoster. I suspect that this is the reason for the error. However, in order to register Matomo’s from email address we need to know it. Or might there be a different reason for the error message?
Would be fine if anyone could help out.

In the meantime I found this page:

It enabled us to set the correct email address and afterwards everything worked fine.
