The amount of time a visitor spends on the final page of their visit is unknown.

This is VERY frustrating!

Is there no way to gauge this?

I know next to nothing about Javascript. But in many other GUI systems there’s an Unload event. Is there one available in browsers that Piwik could be used?

Or, would it be terrible if a timer was set to ping Piwik every n seconds to give us an approximation? If we could control n, we would get to control the load on our servers.
