I’m working on a POC Matomo integration with our website. I’m configuring dashboards, custom dimensions, etc. Once I’m done I’d like to move this whole configuration, without tracking data to another, possibly new, fresh instance. Users on new instance will be different.
I’m wondering how to do it best… The process I came so far after browsing forums and FAQ is:
- Delete all tracking data https://matomo.org/faq/how-to/#faq_73
2a. Migrate to new server using full dump https://matomo.org/faq/how-to-install/faq_76/ (users will get imported as well)
2b. or Migrate specific website dump how-to/faq_19238/ so users are not exported, but will it move dashboards & custom dimensions?
