Here are the error’s showing in the Matomo application:
Oops…there was a problem during the request. Maybe the server had a temporary issue, or maybe you requested a report with too much data. Please try again. If this error occurs repeatedly please contact your Matomo administrator for assistance.
Here is the error form Apache’s error_log:

Looking over the FAQ, found the following:

These references the error “client denied by server configuration”, but following the suggestions from them does not change the issue.
The System check shows everything should be configured properly. And I was running an older Matomo version, so updated as well to only show the same issue.
The Matomo is running on a Centos 7 server with Apache 4
