Error writing to a file, can't log in

Hi all.

I am getting this error and can’t seem to resolve it.
“SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1 Can’t create/write to file ‘/tmp/#sql_5b17_5.MYI’ (Errcode: 13)”

Our server did get hacked, and we fixed that, I’m just wondering it we tightened things down too tight.
Any help would be appreciated.

It turns out the wrong groups was assigned to /tmp and others needed read write.
