I want to test piwik on one of my sites but after uploading all the files to a subdomain I get the following message:
To run Piwik you need at least PHP version 5.5.9
Unfortunately it seems your webserver is using PHP version 5.2.6.
I have changed the php version using the console but still have the same problem (upgraded to php 7.0).
I also get this message in my console - You recently made a DNS change. Therefore if your domain does not function as expected please wait 12 hours then try again. This is due to DNS caching by your ISP. This is not an error message, just an advisory.
This is because I have created a subdomain in this format - piwik.xxxxx.com where i want piwik to be hosted. Maybe I have to wait a day for all the changes to take place.
Also I have tried creating a .htaccess in the piwik/subdomain folder. no luck
Can someone help?
