Error message when managing goals


When I want to manage goals and ad new once, I always get the message bellow:

‘Oops… there was a problem during the request. Maybe the server had a temporary issue, or maybe you requested a report with too much data. Please try again. If this error occurs repeatedly please contact your Matomo administrator for assistance.’

I tried different browsers but I keep getting this message. We have goals installed, so it used to work.

What can I do to fix this?


Can you check your webserver error log to see if there are any errors there?

Are you by chance using something like mod_security, where some blocking-rules might match the save-goal-request?
