Entering a single quote or apostrophe in Segment Value

Attempting to create a Segment like:
City Is Saint John’s

but the quote is being replaced by with a right parenthesis, ending up with:
Saint John)s
and does not filter correctly.

Any suggestions?

[EDIT] the drop down for suggestions shows the quote correctly
