Is there an existing configuration to prevent Piwik from tracking hits from browsers on my dev machine?
If possible I don’t want to do IP blocking, because I hit the server from multiple IPs, and I want to track other people who may use the same IP to view my site. If there isn’t an existing config, I can write a cookie to prevent hits from my browsers from being logged. But if there is something already out there that does this, please let me know.
I went ahead and created a cloaking cookie for my site.
You can then go back to cookie.html to toggle whether you want to be tracked.
Right now, this only works for my site. But if something like this would be useful to other people, let me know and I’ll take a look at the Piwik API and write a plugin.
Yes…Yes…YES!!! I would very much like to have a plugin like this. I can’t use IP tracking because my ISP supplies random IP numbers each time I login. my email is: rugguy99@gmail.com
