Difference in segmented data in report Equipment type

Hi!
I have created a segment with the parameters: equipment type is desktop. I would like to see what all visitors using a desktop computer do on my site.
Using the segment and time period 2019 I get 87 268 visits.
Using “All visits” and not my segment, I get 281 249 visits in the same time period.
I would have expected both numbers to be the same. Why is there a difference in the report when I use my segment or not?

We delete old logs and then the segment can not present any data of course.
