just updated from Matomo 3.4.1 to Matomo 4.0.1. Another update scenario was not given.
First of all, the update stuck because of an error saying something like
“mysqli statement execute error : duplicate entry” for key ‘primary’
I could solve this by going through the troubleshooting steps given in the updater: Increase the max_execution_size and memory_limit, followed by updating the “version_core” value to version “4.0.1” because still “3.4.1” was there.

Regression
Hello,
I was in the process of upgrading Matomo from 3.14.1 to 4.0.1 on Cento… s 6.9 with PHP 7.2.24, MYSQL 5.5.62, Apache 2.2.34.
However when I click on 'Upgrade Matomo', I get the following error i.e :

Critical Error during the update process:
Mysqli statement execute error :
Duplicate entry '55cdd8c124c5596e271454c6624a8cc3c6acf2d9a93502acb225dd897d1ab5df' for key 'PRIMARY'
```

Could you please replicate and fix this issue?.
Die Lösung dafür scheint zu sein, alle Einträge in matomo_session/piwik_session zu löschen/truncaten. (damit werden nur alle Leute abgemeldet) und dann normal mit dem Update weiterzumachen.
