Cron Settings (in cPanel) for Auto Archiving? (URGENT)

Hey guys

I need to hear from you as soon as possible… please

The settings/instructions for setting up cron in cPanel here: How to Set up Auto-Archiving of Your Reports - Analytics Platform - Matomo are incorrect.

I’m using the hosting company recommended by Piwick and using the cPanel option to setup the cron. The instructions say enter 00 in the “minutes” field and leave the rest blank.

You can’t leave the rest blank.

If you do, you get “Cron field not formatted correctly” and you cannot create the cron.

So to be able to do this, I need to know what settings should be applied to the rest of the fields (hour, month, day, weekday)…

…should it be *every hour, *every month, *every day, *every weekday?

NOTE: I’m setting this up for a high traffic site.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Dave

Please look at cpanel instructions to setup a cron, and let us kwow if the doc needs to be updated, thank you!

Hi Matt.

Yes, the instructions are inaccurate in the document. Please update. Would appreciate knowing how to complete the cron setup in cPanel (per the items listed above) as soon as you can.

Thank you

Dave

I don’t know how to fix these instructions. I can completely remove them if you are not able to tell me what’s wrong with them, I don’t really mind?
