Create Plugin with own database possible on Matomo?

Hello,

I’ve got a MongoDB with data and would like subscribers to our website offer some sort of DIY analysis of the data.
It would be great if it’s possible to build up on an existing system, that handles user login etc. and I can focus on the data / visualization.

Is it possible with Matomo, to basically get rid of all website tracking / website related data / features and have only my own plugin active, which gets it’s data and reports from my MongoDB?
(In the worst case, I could convert to MySQL as well)

Hi,

Everything is possible with plugins, after all they are just PHP code. But I am not sure how easy it is to fundamentally change the way Matomo works.
