Class 'Piwik' not found

Hello All,
JUst trying to install Piwik on my server and after uploading the files and navigating to the directory I received this error Fatal error: Class ‘Piwik’ not found in nor.com/httpdocs/piwik/core/testMinimumPhpVersion.php on line 84.
Anyone have an ideas as to how I can correct this?

Upgrade to Piwik 1.4.

I am trying to install 1.4 from the latest.zip

You can look in core/Version.php to verify that you have the 1.4 release. (Sometimes proxies cache an older version.)
