Hi,
I setup one website whilst I was doing the installation - however, it does not show in the websites area?
I then tried to ‘add’ anothe website, and all it did was scroll down the page a bit to global settings.
when I check your help file - it shows there shoudl be fields there (as I would expected) to add another website.
Not sure what is wrong???
In the apache error log file it shows:

I even then tried chmod -R 777 /SitesManager but it made no difference.
please advise.

can you check your server error log file if you find any error there?

Hi there,
sorry i don’t know how to help further. Usually by following the steps in How do I configure my server to let Piwik serve HTML files? - Analytics Platform - Matomo it solves the issue. Maybe our FAQ can be improved but I don’t know how your problem could be solved. Maybe you can ask a sysadmin for help?
does this help Matt? it is copy/paste from the error log after I logon to piwik and then try to add a website (looks like permissions error??)

I am also trying to figure this one out… same message in the logs so I go and look and there is no plugins directory at the end of that path. I have ‘/plugins/Feedback/angularjs/ratefeature’ but not ‘/plugins/Feedback/angularjs/ratefeature/plugins’
Same thing for ‘plugins/CoreHome/angularjs/siteselector/plugins’ and I suspect any other similar paths listed in the OP post.
Maybe I’ll just make those directories and see what happens or continue searching.
Hmm. well I make a couple of the plugins directories and now it wants further down. Seems like the path is wrong in whatever file is calling this.

OK I deleted TMP files and directories as per the FAQ and that seems to have cleared up the problem.
Delete all files in piwik/tmp/*. After deleting the files and directories, refresh the page.
OK I’m back – still getting the log errors so ignore all of the above as a resolution. Looks like I have a few different problems and the log error was unrelated to the problem I was actually trying to resolve. Clearing the TMP directory and my browser cache, restarting my browser and whatever else seems to have resolved the problem I was seeing in the browser but I am still getting those errors in the log with bad path.
Again… I was seeing errors about no access in first path below then added plugins dir and now see errors at second path. (this is but one example of several similar errors) So it seems to be self referential?
