Bug in date period/ intervall- not all statistics are included

Hi!
We have encountered something strange. When I choose a longer date intervall or period not all statistics are included in the report of downloads.
For the period 1 Jan 2016 to 1 June 2016 I get a total of 170 downloads. A six months period.
For the period 1 June 2015 to 1 June 2016 I get a total of 139 downloads. A year.

I would expect that the longest period would give me a higher number but here it is the opposite. Six months give me 170 downloads, and 12 months give me 139 downloads.

Shouldn’t the 170 downloads taking place 1 Jan 2016 to 1 June 2016 be included in the year report 1 June 2015 to 1 June 2016?
Why can the statistics differ so much? The numbers seem unreliable so I’m grateful for any tips or any hit of an explaination.
