Blank page on initial install screen, Clean OS install

Howdy,
I have a fresh freebsd 10 install
Apache 2.4
PHP 5.5

Piwik 2.15.0

When I try and run the installer all I get is a blank screen.

After unpacking the zip I had to work through a couple of errors

I needed to give the webserver full access to the temp directory

I had to create a blank config/config.ini.php by hand

Any help to get further would be appreciated
