API.getSegmentDimensionMetadata

Hello,

I’m working on trying to figure out when to use each item in a plug in. Right now I’m not sure why a person needs to use API.getSegmentDimensionMetadata in the getListHooksRegistered function. When does API.getSegmentDimensionMetadata run and what advantage is there to having it?
