Accuracy of visits seem to be on the decline

I’ve been using Piwik for over a year now and it has been an invaludable tool in learning about my site traffic and where my site potentially needs improvement.

I find however, that lately the accuracy has been going down. Piwik would report between 30 - 60 users a day on my modest website, however lately its been down between 10 and 20, sometimes even lower. This prompted me to begin investiagating and found that the visit count was actually much higher.

I’ve disabled “do not track” but there hasn’t been much of an improvement.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

There is a bug in 2.14.0. This was fixed in 2.15.0 beta. please try this: I would like to test early beta and RC releases, how do I enable automatic updates to use these development versions? - Analytics Platform - Matomo
and I expect you will see more visitors again.

Do you have a link to the issue if it’s on GitHub? We have had some inconsistencies between google analytics and Piwik and always erred on the side of Piwik.
