Following on from a discussion here:

I was wondering if it would be possible to add a feature to the API which retrieves the total accumulative visits / hits to a page, made since the site was launched.
I could then display the results in a table as follows:
Welcome 12 hits
About Us 2 hits
Calendar 22 hits
News 27 hits
or use the results to build a hit counter.
