500 Internal server error

Hello

My installation was ok until I changed CHMOD 755 to 777 for piwik installation folder. after that sometime I’m getting 500 internal server when accessing dashboard. I tried changed it back to 755 but error remains. when I refreshed page it works ok. can anyone please tell me what is the problem for that 500 error.

Try deleting tmp folder contents. Then on the dashboard in question find the problem widgets. Delete them and re add them.

What’s the error in the server error log ?

Deleting tmp folder contents solved this issue but yesterday I got cron job failed message for 500 internal server error. currently I have 7 sites with 7k visits and 20k page views. my server config is core i7 8 core with 16 GB RAM 1gbps port. Can you tell me how can I improve server performance for piwik to avoid this type of 500 error.
