1.11 - Cannot set default to 'dashboard for specific website'

We have multiple sites monitored. We set up a userid that can only look at one site. By default the login comes up with a list of websites, of which there is only one.

Attempting to change this in user settings to ‘dashboard for specific website’ results in a message “The parameter ‘defaultReport’ isn’t set in the request, and a default value wasn’t provided”. Happens for any option of ‘Report date to load by default’.

The only setting it accepts is for the ‘all websites dashboard’.

I wanted to pick this thread up again.

DESCRIPTION: When we add a new user and set the default website for the user, when the user logs in the setting is ignored. Instead, the default website for the user is the first monitored site that was created on the system.

VERSION / ETC: Matomo was installing using Softaculous. Details:

Matomo version: 4.2.1
MySQL version: 5.7.33-cll-lve
PHP version: 7.3.27

Anyone know if this is till a bug or if there is a system wide setting that might be overriding theper user settings?

NOTE: After the user is created, there seems to be no way to set the does not appear to be a way to change the default website in the user edit section.
